This weekend looks like offshore fishing could be exciting. The
fish are there. Two blue-water reports from Tuesday are examples of
what could be waiting for big-game anglers.
The Avalon Offshore Open is in its 23rd year. After the
captain's meeting tonight (July 28), the three-day competition
begins Thursday and runs Friday and Saturday from the Avalon Sport
Fishing Center. Moran's Dockside is headquarters for the weigh-ins
5:30 to 7:30 each day. They are open to the public.
